Art Samson will represent Dundas (Ward 13) on city council and Bob Bratina will fill the downtown Hamilton (Ward 2) seat. Voter turnout was lower in both wards than in last fall's general council elections, although predictions that it would drop by half proved overly pessimistic.

In Ward 2 it fell from 28% last November to 19.5% yesterday. The comparable figures for Dundas were 40.5% last year, and 28.5% yesterday.
