Environment Day at Centre Mall

You can drop off your household hazardous waste, up to four tires, scrap metal and electronic equipment at the Centre Mall on Sunday as the city waste division holds another Environment Day. The event runs from 9 am til 3 pm and will also take reusable clothing and household items and bicycles in good working condition. Acceptable items include small appliances in working condition, lamps and books. Computers, cell phones, VCRs are also okay, but neither monitors nor televisions will be accepted.

You can also exchange your mercury thermometer for a new digital one, your damaged blue box for a replacement, and pick up a free bag of compost, or purchase a rainbarrel. More information is available from wastemanagement@hamilton.ca.
