Both reports were received. After 5 months delay 2 LACAC members were appointed to the Joint Plaquing Sub-committee.
- Heritage Permit Review Sub-committee
GO Station office space renovations will have no effect on the original heritage features of the building.
- Education Sub-committee -- no report
- Inventory and Research Sub-committee -- no report
- Policy Sub-committee -- proposes to create a heritage committee document listing the top 10 or 15 unused heritage properties in the City in order to raise public awareness and to promote the use and/or sale of these properties. (Editorial comment -- sounds like a job for the Education Sub-committee which has been inactive for a year?)
- Plaquing Priority Sub-committee -- no report
FOR THE INFORMATION OF THE COMMITTEE
- Ontario Professional Planners Institute Conference -- sponsored by Hamilton and Burlington to be held in Hamilton next September.
- Burlington Heritage Conservation District -- this proposal has hit a snag and split the community as being too top-down and not grassroots. Currently Westdale and parts of Kirkendall-Strathcona are being proposed as heritage districts here in Hamilton.

The assessment will provide the basis for a heritage permit application which will come before LACAC which will then make a recommendation to City Council No engineering or architectural studies have yet been tabled.
