Police budget forecast
As part of the 2018 capital budget, the Hamilton Police Services Board recommended a budget of nearly $40 million over the period 2018 to 2027 including four items in 2018 totalling $1.5 million, three items in 2019 worth $9.4 million, three in 2020, and a $25 million division four police station in 2025. Committee approved the budget. At council this was changed to approving the recommendations for 2018 and flagging the others for future years.

Police budget changes
Amendments to the 2018 capital budget were moved by Eisenberger. Section (b) related to police services and included increasing the value of the Marine vessel to $800,000 from $500,000, deleting two items and adding three others. Council approved the changes.

Supervised injection site

Morrow forecourt naming
A motion by Merulla to name the forecourt of City Hall as the Robert Maxwell Morrow Forecourt in honour of the former mayor and to install a plaque was approved unanimously.
